Salty Dawg Pet Salon + Bakery is preparing to open a new location in Columbus, Georgia, and is inviting community members to join its grand opening celebrations taking place on Friday, Nov. 13, and Saturday, Nov. 14.
A Growing Pet Salon and Bakery Franchise
Founded in 2018, Salty Dawg is a pet salon franchise offering a range of pet grooming, styling, accessories, and bakery treats. The business currently serves families across the Southeast, with locations in Atlanta, North Carolina, and Texas.
Ribbon Cutting and Weekend Festivities
The opening festivities at the new site, located at 1701 Rollins Way, Suite 400, will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 13, at 10:30 a.m. Later that day, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., a pet adoption event will be held in collaboration with Paws Humane Society, providing an opportunity for attendees to meet adoptable pets.
Community Activities and Prizes
The celebrations continue on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a variety of activities for residents and their pets. Highlights include free prize drawings, giveaways, goody bags, paw canvas paintings, pet photos, and refreshments for both humans and their dogs.
Partnerships and Inspiration
The Columbus franchise is operated by Jay Patel, who emphasized his enthusiasm for both business and dog care. Patel explained that working with Paws Humane Society furthers the mission of caring for pets and finding them homes. He credits his inspiration to his late golden retriever, Luna, and shared, "Being her pet parent taught me what it truly means to be a responsible and loving pet owner, and she is the reason my Salty Dawg location exists." Patel looks forward to getting another dog in the future and encourages residents to participate in the festivities and connect with fellow pet lovers.
