Augusta Arena Nears Completion with Enhanced Features

Construction on Augusta’s new arena is progressing, with the venue slated to open in the summer of 2027. The arena promises to be larger than its predecessor and introduce a variety of luxury upgrades and modern amenities, positioning it as the third largest arena in Georgia.

Luxury Upgrades for Attendees

The new Augusta arena will go beyond increased seating capacity and improved venue technology. Guests can expect a selection of premium amenities, as the facility aims to step into the modern age of arenas. Phoebe Breckenridge, director of Partnerships and Premium Seating at Oak View Group, emphasized the move toward a more contemporary and comfortable experience. "With the opening of the new Augusta Arena, we’re stepping into the modern age of arenas," Breckenridge said.

Premium Seating and Suite Amenities

Upgraded premium seating is a highlight for both guests and businesses, as well as artists visiting the venue. The arena will offer suites that accommodate between 4 to 23 people. In addition, the suite level will be located strategically between the upper and mid concourses, providing optimal views and access to shared luxury amenities. These include two luxury bars and a carving station, enhancing the suite experience with elevated hospitality options.

Enhanced Artist Compound

Beyond public amenities, the artist compound is also set for major improvements. According to Breckenridge, the upgraded backstage areas and state-of-the-art rigging facilities are expected to attract high-profile performers who will benefit from enhanced backstage experiences. "Our artist compound will be much upgraded, allowing us to attract better talent. Everything from the rigging for shows to the backstage experience will be elevated," she said.

The Return of the Windsor Club and Expanded Hospitality

The club space in the arena returns to its original name, the “Windsor Club,” under the sponsorship of Windsor Fine Jewelers. This represents both a nod to tradition and a step into a new era. The hospitality program will receive a major overhaul, including the involvement of private chefs from across the United States. These culinary enhancements are designed to deliver a unique and memorable experience for event attendees.

Augusta Lynx Set to Return for Hockey Fans

With the upcoming opening, the Augusta Lynx hockey team is expected to return to the ice, taking on ACHL opponents in 36 scheduled home games. Premium seating options include tickets to all home games, giving fans access to both sports excitement and the arena’s luxury amenities.

Premium seating for the Augusta arena is still available. More information about purchasing options can be found on the official website.
